Swedish Biogas produces and distributes biogas as a vehicle fuel in both solid and liquid form, in Östergötland and nearby areas. The company owns and operates several public gas filling stations in the region and operates production facilities in Linköping and Norrköping.
Biogas is produced from organic waste and residues, such as food waste. From the process is also recovered digestate, which returns nutrients to the environment by replacing fertilizers in agriculture.
Examples of materials that the biogas is produced from:
• slaughterhouse waste
• residues from the food industry
• food waste from households, shops and restaurants
• drank water
• grain / biomass residue
• other organic wastes
