We help the construction industry to become more sustainable and to contribute to the circular economy by manufacturing foam glass in an efficient way with minimal impact to the environment.
Foam glass is a light-weight fill material that is used when constructing roads, railroads, buildings of all kinds, parks, roundabouts, green roofs, sports facilities and many other applications. After its use it can easily be collected and used again and again and again.
The raw material used in the process comes from industrial neighbor Swedish Glass Recycling (https://www.glasatervinning.se/), which is the only recycling plant of packaging glass in Sweden. The recovery rate of packaging glass is well above 90 percent. The material stream that Hasopor receives from Swedish Glass Recycling is no longer possible to recycle into new packaging glass. The material was previously put to landfill.
