Boliden Bergsöe lead smelter is one of Europe’s largest recyclers of used lead batteries, and the Nordic region’s only secondary smelter for lead. The main products are pure lead and customised alloys. Boliden Bergsöe contributes in many ways to a viable ecocycle by annually extracting lead from approximately four million scrap car batteries.
