Today, fifty percent of the world’s energy is wasted as low-temperature heat (ca. 90°C) . For many companies this means lost profit as well as unnecessary CO2-emissions affecting the planet adversely. Climeon can convert that heat into electricity, introducing a new renewable energy source called Heat Power. As this innovation will penetrate the market according to Climeon’s plan, the emission of more than 20 million ton of CO2 will be avoided over a 10-year period.
The compact 150 kW module produces electricity at estimated levelized cost of energy of €20–30/MWh. This is highly competitive even in comparison to conventional power sources such as coal and oil. Companies can benefit from Climeon Ocean via direct sales or through contracting the solution as a service.
