The ecological toilet system Aquatron is a composting toilet utilizing ordinary Water Closets.
Aquatron combine modern hygiene requirements with environmental proper treatment. Ordinary or low flush Water Closets may be connected to Aquatron systems as well as Urine Separated Toilets. The Aquatron systems consist of three components: the unique patented Aquatron Separator, the Bio Chamber and UV (ultra violet light) unit. The separator separates the solid waste (paper and faeces) from the fluid (the mix of urine and water). The separated solid waste falls into the bio chamber where it is composted. The fluid proceeds to the UV light unit where bacteria and viruses are killed. It proceeds from there together with the fluid from the kitchen sink, bath, shower and washing machine to simple grey water sewage for infiltration into the ground.
There are five different models available: Aquatron 90 has a bio chamber suitable for vacations/leisure homes or small households; Aquatron 400 has a larger bio chamber and is suitable for year-round households; Aquatron 4×100 and 4×200 is fully composting models and designed for year-round households; Aquatron 4×300 is designed for bigger installations up to 8 Water Closets. The fully composting function provides easier and nicer handling of the waste.
