For over 40 years Fumex has been developing, manufacturing and marketing products for extraction of air borne pollutants directly at the source.
Fumex AB was founded by two friends in 1946 and during 1971 they patented their technoology Sugsnabeln. In 1975 the company name changed to Fumex, a contraction of the words “fume extractor”.
Different ranges of products
Fumex range of products consists of local extractors for evacuating welding smoke and solvents in industrial environments, air borne pollutants in laboratories and extraction of vehicle exhaust gases. A wide range of fans with control units is also available for use with local extraction solutions as well as a segment of mobile and stationary filters.
International expansion
Fumex products are marketed in the North America under the name Movex. Movex Inc. is a subsidiary of Fumex, located in Pennsylvania and responsible for distribution of the Fumex product line in the US and Mexico. Throughout the rest of the world, the products are sold via local partners under the Fumex trademark. Fumex AB is part of the privately owned Crenor group and both are headquartered in Skellefteå, Sweden.
