Labtrino AB develops a water meter system for residential property owners. The company’s Trinometer system uses machine learning to break down water usage data into outlets and diagnoses an entire homes water usage from a single, non-invasive sensor.
To install currently available water meters is expensive, as the process requires licensed HVAC technicians, why most apartment buildings do not have metering on the home level. Instead, the building’s total cost is shared among the tenants based on apartment size, so no-one really knows how much they consume, what it costs, or what the effects are. Leaks can run for days, weeks or even months without getting fixed and consumption is unnecessarily high as many consider water to be free, why regulators around the world are introducing legislation that require apartment water metering, or sub-metering.
We solve these issues by applying our smart water meter system, Trinometer. It detects leaks in specific apartments instantly, it installs and operates cost-efficiently and it saves money and water for all stakeholders by creating awareness in a relatable way.
The hardware part of the Trinometer system is a proprietary clamp-on water meter, meaning that it clamps on to the outside of the inlet pipe with two fastening straps. This easy installation, which anyone can do, cuts costs drastically.
Trinoware is our connected smartphone application for tenants. In it, they can follow their consumption in real time, both aggregated in terms of energy, volume and cost, but also disaggregated. By analyzing flow patterns in the inlet pipes, one meter can measure all outlets individually. We show you how much you consume in each outlet, how you compare to peers and how to easily and comfortably reduce your consumption, and water bill effectively. The result of this, in combination with individual billing based on consumption, is a maintained consumption reduction of 30%.
Property owners access consumption data through their existing visualization and/or billing software via a convenient API solution.
